2) The picture of Curry (with AI) should be labeled "Piston Head Coach and Piston Head Case".
3) As Blueheart referenced, the Hedo/Prince matchup is disastrous for us. Keep the ball out of Hedo's hands except for spot-up jumpers, and let the others take care of running the offense.
4) Keep someone is Sheed's face all game, and I guarantee you that he will flip out somewhere along the line and self-destruct.
5) This the 2nd game in a 3-game set against teams that beat them in the previous battle. The Magic need to finish off the Pistons and Bulls, and fully re-establish their confidence that they can, and probably will, beat any team on any given night, whether at home or on the road.
I hate this team. I hate how I feel going into any matchups with this team. I hate how I feel after matchups against this team. I hate watching this team's players acting all chummy toward our players after the matchups. I especially hate how our players fall into this chummy trap. I hate how fans of this team are allowed to come into our building and take over and be complete and total jerks to our fans. I'm tired of all of this hate.
I'm ready for some love. I would love to be able to say that we finally took down this team. Is tonight finally the night?

I think we blow Detroit out of the building. I thought we were going to lose yesterday, but instead we amassed a 22 point lead. Then I thought it was immature to let them almost all the way back, but mature and championshipesque that we held them back (all I could think about was the Lakers giving up a 20 point lead to Boston and losing in the Finals, but we didn't, we're better than that).
I think we'll learn from our mistakes, we get a big lead and keep it, and we contain Dick Hamilton to 18-22 points. Like I did yesterday, I put this game on Dwight. If he's in there forcing crappy shots and wasting possessions, than our offense is really going to struggle as a whole, but if he's in there flexing his muscles and proving that he IS the best center in league (with Gortat a close 2nd of course), than we enjoy a comfortable 15 or so point cushion the entire second half.
I made this decision for one reason and one reason only: I love my family. - SVG

Apparently it was not a good flight to Detroit last night. This from David Steele's blog.
quote:
Can’t close without a mention of the team’s roller coaster ride from Boston to Detroit Sunday evening. You get one of these once a decade. Back in the mid-90’s an unbuckled Shaquille O’Neal, stretched out and sleeping on a sofa in the players area of the team plane, was victim of a severe jolt at 30,000 feet. The big dip sent the Big Fella soaring up in the air off the sofa with a crash landing onto the floor of the plane, an event that sent everyone scrambling to get buckled in. Sunday night, the Magic’s Superman and teammates were strapped in tight, and that was a good thing. For about 45 minutes, but what seemed like 45 hours, it was the airplane scene from “Almost Famous.” No final testament, true confessions were blurted out, but I’ve never seen Richie Adubato speechless. When we finally touched down, many applauded, a rare event for seasoned travelers. At the hotel, Matty Guokas and I rode up the elevator with Mickael Pietrus. Mickael has had some frightening flights to the basket this season, but said he’s never been so scared in the air. A wild ending to a busy weekend.

I think our x-factor is Courtney Lee in this one. He's gotta get back defensively to what he was doing early in the season, which was making guys uncomfortable, not just getting a hand in their faces once they got to their hot spots. Basically what I'm saying is he needs better "prevent" defense before the ball ends up in his guy's hands.
Theirs is Antonio McDyess. Just a gut feeling, but I think they're gonna need him to play a good game to win. Also, he's hurt us with the jumper in the last two 4th quarters we've played against this team.
Orlando shows that the defense against Boston wasn't a fluke. Barely. Reports of heart attacks strangely rise across Central Florida.
Orlando 88 Detroit 86
Bold prediction: Hedo Turkoglu adds another game winner to the legend.

It isn't our defense. They just see "ORLANDO" on the team uni and go ballistic.
Maybe they should wear their Orlampa Juice throwbacks against the Pistons.
