Guy Zucker, Gortats agent, said Marcin was very, very disappointed Orlando matched the mavs offer.
Wow! I know he wanted to start but to come out and say this...***? Pay me $6 million bucks and I wouldnt dream of saying anything like that. I hope he enjoys playing for the twolves or clippers when Otis sends him packing in 6 months.

Gortat's agent, Guy Zucker, said the center "was definitely very disappointed today." He said Gortat was back in his native Poland, where he'd already been telling everyone he was headed to the Mavericks.
Gortat was hoping to play alongside Jason Kidd and Dirk Nowitzki and, most of all, compete with Erick Dampier for the starting job. Dampier is going into the final year of his contract.
In Orlando, Gortat will likely see spotty playing time behind Howard.
"It was definitely about the opportunity to find out how good he can really be," Zucker said. "We had requested that Orlando not match the offer. We stated the fact that he sincerely wanted the chance to carve his own path, be his own man, so to speak, which is not going to be realistically possible in Orlando."

my bad then gortat is an idoit then why in the hell would you say that most guys in league would give thier left nut to sit on the bench of team that has a chance to win a ring than start on a team making up the numbers

I think Gortat and Cuban have a secret polish sausage company and they cant advertise it right now because of conflict of intrest of two teams. One Day the CUBAN GORTAT SAUSAGE CO. will be main stream and Gortat will be happy again

I wouldn't mind seeing SVG trying out D12 at PF, with Gortat at Center. That would definitely keep people out of the paint, as they'd be scared ****less to try to get to the rim... Maybe that will keep the Gortz happy. Can't really complain with $6M a year with 20-24 mins a night to try and showcase your skillz...

well gortat has most certainly been retained, but as far as him complaining ***?!?!?! 6 mil a year to play >20 minutes a night for a Championship contending team, in Disney World, playing with an all star cast, and he's sad because he wants to start???? has he lost his mind? shoot, y not start DH12 at PF with gortat at C?
Osprey23: JJ said to Snow, I believe, after his four point play "Whats its like getting taken by a rookie?" I loved it! haha
Dont worry Gortat...You will get your chance to start one day. We are going to trade you in the next year for a team you can start on. We just need you as a trade asset down the line to get something with. So dont worry...your time will come. Just sit back one more year and learn somethings from the best center in the league. Hey you might even get a nice shiney ring on your finger at the end of the year. Then we will trade you to some horrid team where you will start and maybe win 35 games a year. Just sit back and relax.
Hey Ryan Anderson....I am your new Big Man coach....
