I personally have no qualms about calling rap music. However, calling whatever it is Lil Wayne does "music" is on par with calling falling down a flight of stairs and breaking your tail bone "ballet".

I have to agree here. There's a lot of "rap" that is just terrible. BUT, there's a good amount of "rap" that's good. You just need to know where to look and what you're looking for. Personally, when it comes to rap, I prefer lyricist and good beats which draw me to Commmon, Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi, Emminem, and Kanye.  Credit to AddiFB, you're the man. |

you think kanye is a good rapper? he USED to be a good rapper his first album, but now he's just like every other overplayed, overhyped celebrity garbage.
Any discussion of good rappers should start with Nas (Illmatic), Wu-Tang clan, Bone Thugs N Harmony, TUPAC of course, NWA etc. etc.
