He anticipated the Hedo contract situation perfectly.
The magic had a number that they would have given him all along, Carter or no Carter, but now that he's going to be offered 50+ by two teams I can honestly say Otis absolutely nailed it here.
Hedo is not worth anything CLOSE to 50 million dollars, lets remember folks he was incredibly inconsistent last year, there were many nights many of you wanted him gone for his erratic play.
So we'll replace him, we'll shore up our depth most likely and go into next year with 4 all stars and hopefully a deeper bench.

i've totally written hedu off since the carter deal went down. i could honestly care less where hedu goes now. he's not going to be a magic next season so w/e. i'm more focused on filling out the rest of our roster.

I think Otis is smarter than he sounds. I just don't like his past trades... almost most if not all our best players (still with us) are either a free agent pick up or a draft. All of people we traded for... we also traded or lost. But I do think he knows what he is doing
