I like Otis. Clear and concise, composed, disciplined, it's pleasing that he really believes in what he's putting together and the results are speaking for themselves.

He deserves much credit.

Q: And what Q & A would be complete without the obligatory question about J.J.? Any plans to grant his trade request?

A: Not at this point. I like him. I think J.J. can help us. He's worked his tail off this summer. I think in the next 20, 30 days we'll see how things shake out.
JJ can help with what, filling out the roster at the end of the bench?

I noticed that on Schmitz blog last night too so I'm thinking man, Schmitz is stepping up his game and is gonna give us some insider info from Otis on why the Crittenton deal didn't happen among other things.

So much for that, lol.

All the vets on this board know Otis ain't ever gonna tell you nothing. And if he does, it more than likely won't be to Schmitz.

I'd still like to see the Sentinel get some new blood in there.

Kyle Hightower.....?

Typical Otis interview, says a lot without really telling you anything.

The only thing that made me wonder is he had a team leader dinner with Dwight, Jameer and Rashard. Since Hedo was NOT included it does make me wonder about whether he will be with this team next year.

Was this before, or after, the Euro league tourney that Hedo was playing?

The Puns Are Starting To Bore ME

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Former A-10 standouts and Associated Press National Players of the Year Jameer Nelson of Saint Joseph's and Xavier's David West have been named to the NBA All-Star team and will square off Feb. 15 in Phoenix, Ariz. It marks Nelson's first All-Star selection, while West earns his second straight honor.

I want to know why Otis was on vacation? The way he runs this team his job is a vacation. I can sit back and say no to every trade offer and make poor daft picks.

Maybe we should all take turns? The team wants to save money, what better way to save money than have your fans do the job for free? I bet that some would even pay them a few bucks to do the job. You could put a mannequin in the GM's office with a sign around it's neck that says "NO DEAL!" or "I WANT MORE".

Do you ever have anything positive to post?

I'm all for optimism and positive thinking if it is warranted, but my name isn't Candide. Can we call you Pangloss? When this organization does something positive without canceling it out 24 hours later I'll post something positive. There are enough people on here who think the Magic can do no wrong.

Sounds like the only deal between Memphis and Orlando was in Kyler's livid dreams and yours of course.
And need we forget JC's agent who admitted that he started a rumor that HoopsWorld printed as truth.
Much ado about nothing. That is the answer about JC and Memphis.
