Cool, why aren't you the GM, then?

Maybe we should all take turns? The team wants to save money, what better way to save money than have your fans do the job for free? I bet that some would even pay them a few bucks to do the job. You could put a mannequin in the GM's office with a sign around it's neck that says "NO DEAL!" or "I WANT MORE".

Do you ever have anything positive to post?
I'm all for optimism and positive thinking if it is warranted, but my name isn't Candide. Can we call you Pangloss? When this organization does something positive without canceling it out 24 hours later I'll post something positive. There are enough people on here who think the Magic can do no wrong.

So 52 wins, a 1st round playoff series win with a very young roster is not positive?

I think too many people spend way too much time focusing on Otis's mistakes. When he has taken an organization that was a laughing stock for having a Hockey GM and a coach who they had already fired once before.

I don't agree with everything he has done, but I like the progress he has made since taking over for Weispuck.

Otis is much better than the last schmuck, but that is not an accomplishment worthy of note. The way I see it is that Otis has made some nice moves, but he has made an equal amount stupid moves. Just look at his draft record, JJ and Fran enough said there. Traded for Darko and Arroyo, let Darko walk losing a top 15 draft pick to Detroit. Hired Billy Donovan (nice!). Out bid himself for Lewis (Good player, Bad deal lost a 2nd rounder and over paid). Resigned Jameer (restricted FA) with 1 season left on contract. He did do a nice job snagging Stan away from Sac-town at the last minute and signing Peaches. I'll give him half credit for Lewis and Darko too. It seems that Otis takes baby steps while many other GMs take leaps and leave us behind, if you're not moving forward you're moving backward. How long are you going to give Otis before you get fed up? Is he going to have to turn into Matt Millen before you turn?

Now your comparing Otis to Matt Millen?? A guy whose team never made the playoffs under his control.

The Magic have improved dramaticly under Otis's direction. He took a dysfunctional overpaid bunch put together by Weispuck and turned them into an Eastern Conference contender in three years.

He has made mistakes but overall I think he has done a hell of a job turning this team around.

No. I didn't compare the two, I asked if he would have turn into Millen before you change your mind. They both have bad draft record though but, I didn't compare them.

I bet John would love to come back now that he is in basketball hell (Knicks front office).

Is it just me or is John Gabriel really hated for the drafting of Sasser and Hunter? Because besides that, he has done a marvelous job for us. Not to mention he was one of the backbone that constructed the Portland team now.

He didn't do a great job resigning Shaq, I think thats bigger than Hunter or Sasser. He did draft Mike Miller though.

Wasn't RDV the one who didn't offer Shaq the same money to what the Lakers offered because he thought Shaq would re-sign because of loyalty, etc?

Interesting, who believes we have a log jam at the 4?

"I'm still intirigued about Ryan Anderson. Only problem is he may be just a little more physical version of Brian Cook." - SmackDaddy

"I think he's much better than those two (Garrity & Cook). I think he'll be a much bigger asset than Battie. I still think he's a finesse player who fails to address the Magic's need". - KITNO (epic RA hater)

We have anything but a log jam at the 4. It's by far the position we need cover at. Rashard shouldn't really be playing there, which leaves us with Battie.

On another thing, who actually believes Otis will use the TE for anything apart from acquiring another draft pick? I can't see any other outcome from it.
